Sapphire Coast Golf was first established in 2007 as a co-operative marketing campaign designed to promote the Sapphire Coast as a premier golfing destination. It featured 7 golf courses in the area, as well as a number of accommodation suppliers and attractions.

The first initiative undertaken by Sapphire Coast Golf, was the production of a 28 page colour brochure which was officially launched in July 2008. Being a major tourism campaign, it attracted attention from National news network, WIN Television.

The business has been in hibernation now for a number of years with no income.
